Paramedic

Competences of qualification:

1. Assess the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the human body.
2. Communicate and cooperate with patients and their family members, members of the healthcare team, institutions related to personal healthcare.
3. Provide first aid.
4. Perform the initial resuscitation of the trauma victim.
5. Identify the patient’s acute medical conditions and injuries.
6. Provide a patient with the necessary medical care in case of acute medical conditions and injuries.
7. Prepare a patient for transportation.
8. Transport a patient.
9. Know the means of prevention of health disorders.
10. Apply preventive medical measures.
11. Be ready to act in the event of emergencies.
12. Provide medical assistance in emergencies.

Competences of optional modules:

1. Deal with first aid calls.
2. Provide first aid instructions over the phone.
3. Identify acute mental illnesses and psychological crises.
4. Provide aid in cases of acute mental conditions.

Modules for the acquisition of the qualification competences:

1. Complex assessment of the human body and communication.
2. First aid provision. Provision of necessary medical aid within one’s competences.
3. Transporting a patient.
4. Application of preventive medical measures.
5. Provision of medical aid in emergencies.
6. Introduction to the labour market.

Optional modules:

1. Providing first aid instructions by phone.
2. Providing aid in cases of acute mental conditions.
