|Project description||The aim of the project is to promote the development of health-promoting physical activity and increase physical activity literacy in society by organizing physical activity activities accessible to all: hiking and physical activity skills training camps.
The project focuses on international physical activity guidelines and guidelines to improve the number of adults, children and adolescents with a healthy minimum level of physical activity recommended by the WHO through the development of physical activity skills and the promotion of outdoor physical activity activities.
During the project, hiking trips will be organized in Palanga, Pervalka and Kaunas, as well as children’s physical activity camps in the practical training base “Kalbantys sodai” in Pervalka.
Hiking trips goes not only to promote physical activity literacy in communities, but also to develop key competencies such as motivation to be physically active, to move more, to take responsibility for improving one’s own health, and related social skills and attitudes. Hiking trips will also promote sports volunteering, involving volunteers in organizing and caring activities, educational activities at scheduled stops.
