|Project aim and expected results||The results of the project „Modernization of the training environment for orthopaedic specialist“:
1. Renewed vocational training infrastructure of orthopaedic training programmes;
2. Purchased modern technological equipment that meets modern labour market conditions;
3. Has been prepared the first „Foot care specialist“ vocational training programme in Lithuania. It was focused on podiatric foot care, diagnostics and provision of orthopaedic equipment in case of various foot deformities and problems.
4. It was reconstructed 504 sq. m. building at Vytautas av. 54, Kaunas. Has been installed new ventilation-conditioning, heating systems, network of information technology. It was purchased modern equipment for patient diagnostics, orthopaedic manufacturing equipment for podiatric foot care.
The „Foot care specialist“ vocational training programme was developed in close collaboration with Latvian Paediatric association (Latvijas Podologu biedriba ). 10 vocational teachers of our Centre improved their qualifications in Latvia. Specialists, trained under this programme, will especially help patients with diabetes and foot problems.
